JPG · PNG · WebP - auto cutout, then manual touch-up
The cutout starts the moment your photo loads. Everything runs in your tab - your photo never goes anywhere.

Preview - transparent PNG output -

The dotted area is transparency. 'On white background' is handy for marketplaces that want a flat backdrop.

How it works

  1. Drop a photo

Product shots, logos, portraits, screenshots - anything where the subject stands out from the background.

  2. Auto remove

The tool reads the color along the photo's edges, treats it as the background and erases everything that matches - instantly, in your browser.

  3. Touch up and save

Switch to manual whenever you want: click leftover areas with Pick color, or paint with the Erase and Restore brushes. Save the transparent PNG.

FAQ

How does auto remove work?
It samples the colors along the photo's edges, decides that is the background, and removes everything that matches it within the tolerance you set. Edges are then softened slightly and cleaned of leftover color fringe, so the cutout sits naturally on any new backdrop.
What if the auto cutout is not perfect?
That is what the manual modes are for. Pick color removes a whole same-colored area with one click (great for patches and shadows), the Erase brush paints away leftovers by hand, and the Restore brush brings back anything that was cut too much. Undo is always one click away.
Which photos work best?
Plain and studio backgrounds: products on white, logos, portraits against a wall, screenshots, scans. Photos with very busy backgrounds need some manual brush work - the manual tools are built exactly for that.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything is computed in your tab - the photo stays on your device from start to finish. Close the tab and nothing is left behind.
How do I fix edges that look too hard or too soft?
Use the Soft edges slider for a gentle feather (great for print and white backdrops) or set it to 0 for razor-sharp cutouts (great for logos). If the cut eats into the subject, lower the tolerance or repaint the spot with the Restore brush.
