QR & Barcode Scanner

Point your camera at a code or drop in a photo of one - no app install, no upload. Reads QR codes and the most common barcodes (EAN, UPC, CODE128...) entirely in your browser.

Your browser will ask for camera permission - the video is processed on-device only. Camera access needs HTTPS (or localhost). Best on phones; point from ~15-25 cm.

FAQ

Is it safe to scan unknown QR codes?
With us, yes. Many scanner apps instantly open whatever link a code contains - that's how 'quishing' scams work. We only ever display the content and let you decide; links never open by themselves.
Why does it need camera permission?
Your browser requires explicit permission for camera access. The video stream is analyzed locally with an in-browser decoder - it is never recorded, streamed or uploaded. Also note browsers only allow camera use on secure (HTTPS) pages.
Which barcode types are supported?
QR codes (all content types), plus EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, CODE128, CODE39, ITF and Data Matrix.
